A Hopewell native, Jimmy learned the ins and outs of the construction business at a young age, setting a strong foundation for what has now become a well known and successful business. With the help of his wife Teresa, CEO of Hopewell Builder's Supply Co., they pride themselves on the work that prominantly displays there name and see to it that their homes are of the highest quality. Jimmy has said "If I put my name on it, I'm going to be proud of it". With his projects, Jimmy gives the best quality for the best price. Starting his business in 1975 with his first subdivision, Shady Oaks, he has accumulated over 30 years in the contracting business and his work shows it. Not only has he built many new homes and some commercial projects in his career, but he is well on his way to have his seventh subdivision under his belt. These subdivisions include; Shady Oaks, Westmoreland, Cedar Creek, Cedar Creek West, Cobblestone, and his newest projects Parkview Pointe in Hopewell and Brickhouse Landing in Prince George. With his Brickhouse Landing project, James R. Jones, Builders' model home swept other local builders in the Southside Homebuilders Association 'Parade of Homes'. He was awarded for capturing gold in Best Curb Appeal, Best Kitchen, Best Master Suite and Best Floor Plans. Jimmy and Teresa work hand in hand providing attention to detail on both the interior and exterior of the homes that they proudly put their name on. They have made big strides in bettering their community and continue to make their hometown a better place.
